We’re Back with Guest art from Meaghan Monster O’Keefe!

Greetings! We’re back from winter break this week and do we have a treat for you… How about a guest pinup from Artist, Illustrator, FX Artist and all around super talented Meaghan O’Keefe from OPEN WOUND FX!

We’re excited to have Meaghan’s art go live just as the comic hits one of it’s major plot points. Everything takes a drastic turn in this weeks update and I think her art is a chilling hint at what’s in-store for Felix, Paulie and Sera.

Meaghan is currently working on illustrating the comic book Identity Thief for Fanboy Comics. You may recognize their current book Something Animal, which is available now, as being illustrated by our pal Robert Burrows.

We’ll see everyone Tuesday for a “soak in” on some real DREAMtech.

The Concrete World Summer Break: Guest Artist Gea Philes!!

I can’t believe its already the end of summer… which of course means summer break for Jetti and I. And it means a pinup from one of my favorite artists!!! GEA PHILES!

I came across Gea’s amazing art and website 6 or 7 years ago and have been a rabid fan of her ever since. Not only of her art but of her whole character, she’s one of the most interesting people the internet has introduced me to and I am thankful for it. She participated in the GREASERS GHOULS & GALS art show that launched my first graphic novel MOTOR CITY, and I am happy she is now back to give us a fun pinup of Sera and Paulie.

Also, please find another one of my favorites from Gea.

As well as the piece from the show we had at Meltdown Comics.

Happy August Everyone! I hope your summer has been filled with fireworks, hot dogs (or veggie dogs), drag races, DREAMtech, Soaking in, and no run-ins with PROTECTcorp or their subsidiaries.

We have a new pages schedule for the next three months and I can promise you, you won’t want to miss one panel of one page, because its about to get really hairy for your favorite three DREAMtech Junkies. For Paulie, Felix and Sera, things are about to really change. They have found the deep end, they are close to Black Ivory.

Guest Artist Pin Up Lili Chin!!

Greetings from the future everyone! We’re taking the month of May off from a new update. Jetti literally has to ice her hand. She has drawn her hand almost into a bloody stump. I’ve also been swamped on a couple film projects so alas… a month off from your favorite DREAMtech addicted junkies.

But never you worry. We have a SUPER SPECIAL treat for you this month! A guest pinup from artist Lili Chin!

You may recognize Lilli’s AWESOME art from her cartoon series Mucha Lucha!, her fundraising site Doggie Drawings by Lili, or other work she’s done with FWAK!

We’re psyched to see Paulie, Felix and Sera drawn Lili Chin style! Here are more links to Lili’s work!

Winter Break at The Concrete World with guest art from Robert Burrows

Greetings from the future!!! I hope everyone had a fantastic new year! We’re taking the month of January off from a regular update so I can recollect some brain cells and so Jetti can ice her twisted claw of a hand… And to make sure you get your cyber-fix we have this INSANELY AWESOME guest art from artist Robert Burrows!

A huge thanks to Robert for doing his version of Paulie, Felix and Sera for our site. His art and style captures the mood of The Concrete World perfectly. Robert Burrows is a writer, artist and photographer based in Los Angeles. He is currently working on the graphic novel Something Animal as well as other projects. You can find more of his kick ass art as well as info on current projects at his official website www.nocuddletime.com you can also stay up to date by joining his facebook group here.

In the year ahead, life in DREAMtech and in the physical world gets even more hardcore for Felix, Paulie and Sera. They will ride some very dark times. Blood will be drawn as these three struggle to evade the authorities and find their way to BLACK IVORY… and when they find it, well… you’ll have to keep reading to find out.

Thanks so much for reading! 2011 promises pure unfiltered cyberpunk fiction and of course Jetti’s amazing art!

Regular updates start again the 2nd Tuesday of February. Get ready to soak in.

Summer Break at The Concrete World and guest art from Jose Macasocol, Jr.

No new pages this month… What can I say… It’s summer break! We’re out at the beach, watching movies, eating BBQ, and just plain relaxing! Okay, not really. Summer break for us means I’m still hunched over a computer somewhere and Jetti is drawing like mad somewhere else…

We decided to take August off for The Concrete World, to give ourselves a chance to catch up on things, refresh ourselves for the next chapters of CW and to overall let our brains try and recover from the mush they have become.

We hope everyone has been enjoying The Concrete World so far. I can assure you we have absolutely enjoyed making it and are super excited of what’s to come. We are about a quarter into the story. Which means three more quarters of exciting fear-of-the-future-fiction for you.

Sera, Paulie and Felix will spiral even further downward into their tech addictions, and when the law finally catches up to them… well, you’ll see, things get crazy.

As a special treat for everyone who has been so great about logging in on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to read our book, our friend and fellow Manga and Comic Book Illustrator Jose Macasocol, Jr. has done a guest pinup of our characters.
Thanks a lot Joe! We didn’t want readers to be left without something new and fun when they logged on today! For more of Joe’s work click here. And also let us know if you would like to submit art for The Concrete World. You can reach us at theconcreteworld@gmail.com

Enjoy the rest of your summer everyone! And thanks! New Pages up in September!
